Job Description
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with project needs, timelines, and budgets to ensure that construction materials and services are acquired on time and within budget.
Monitor procurement budgets, track spending, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure that purchasing decisions remain within the allocated project budget.
Oversee the sourcing and timely delivery of materials, ensuring they meet specifications and quality standards, while also managing inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and resolving any contract-related issues with suppliers.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management or similar fields.
At least 3 years of experience in procurement, with specific experience in the construction industry or working with construction materials and services.
Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and services, as well as the construction process.
Expertise in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
Strong skills in budgeting and cost control to ensure the procurement process stays within financial limits.
Ability to resolve issues related to procurement, logistics, or supplier performance.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate procurement and delivery of materials.
A degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field is typically preferred. Certifications in procurement or supply chain management can be an advantage.
