ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
 
Job Description:
 
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and implementing best practices to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize risk
Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate audits and ensure timely submission of required reports
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for senior management as needed
Conduct internal audits or reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identify areas for improvement, and mitigate risks related to financial reporting and compliance.
Provide support to the accounting team and other departments as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
