SR. DEVOPS
 
We are looking for a self-motivated and independent DevOps engineer who can take ownership of the projects they are working on. You will:
Implement and problem-solve high-level objectives and tasks with minimal supervision.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand, test and deliver developer-friendly solutions.
Build a new development environment that mimics REACH's production systems in Kubernetes using technologies such as:
Kubernetes
Ubuntu Server
Apache2
PHP-fpm
PHP
NodeJS
MySQL
MongoDB
Redis
Rabbit MQ
Microsoft Service Bus
SignalR
Microsoft Storage Accounts / Azurite
Azure Application Gateway / nginx

This project aims to resolve one of the biggest pain points within our development org.
Document, improve, maintain and create CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Bicep.
Improve our DevSecOps capabilities by incorporating more advanced security scanning and SBOM capabilities into CI/CD processes.
Requirements
BS/BA in computer science OR 2 years of related experience
Experience with CI/CD tooling
Experience with Cloud platforms
Experience building software development environments
Strong problem-solving ability
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Preferred Requirements
Experience with:
Virtualization technology including VirtualBox, Vagrant, and Docker
Experience with container orchestration tools including Kubernetes
Infrastructure management tooling (SALTstack preferred)
git-based source control solution (BitBucket preferred)
Azure cloud platform
BitBucket CI/CD solution
Infrastructure automation tooling (Terraform & Bicep preferred)
Experience with SAST/DAST tooling and integration into CI/CD workflows
Experience with unit and integration/end-to-end testing methodology and integration into CI/CD workflows
Experience with NPM publishing
Job Responsibilities
(30%) work closely with development team to build a representative development environment using Vagrant, Docker, and/or Dev Containers
(10%) Research and advise executive team on topics, trends, and emerging technology related to DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-code, and development environments
(10%) Research, develop and implement workflows that seamlessly tie development environments into CI/CD solution
(10%) Research, develop and maintain CI/CD solution
(15%) Define, script, and deploy Azure infrastructure using Terraform
(5%) Connect new infrastructure to monitoring solutions
(10%) Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams and documentation
(10%) Troubleshoot development environment, CI/CD and infrastructure problems as they relate to DevOps work
