JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW
The QA/R&D Specialist is responsible in assisting the Production Manager and General Manager in ensuring an established Quality and Food Safety Management System, assist in the improvement by providing new methodologies, trainings and updating of programs based on customer regulatory and company requirements and provide recommendation/s to meet the company objectives specific on aspect of product quality and food safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for establishing, updating and safe-keeping of all documents related to Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, HALAL, Product Formulations, Regulatory documents and other important correspondences.
2. Ensure that all laboratory equipment and tools are well maintained and are timely calibrated.
3. Responsible for checking incoming raw materials evaluation, ensuring that the materials are within the required specification.
4. Responsible in ensuring that the set standard parameters for physicochemical product testing are met prior packaging.
5. Validates returns coming from trade.
6. Assist in Research and development activities that includes product experimentation/ formulation, sensory evaluation and shelf life testing.
7. Reviews product compliance to regulatory standards and customer’s preference and requirements.
8. Creates BOM for new products and validates product formulation and cost in relation to BOM, coordinates with the management for any changes and updates.
9. Accomplishes all necessary QA documentations (eg. Forms and checklists)
10. Performs other functions as may be assigned by immediate superior from time to time
JOB QUALIFICATION
QUALIFICATIONS
- College Graduate with a degree on Food technology, Chemistry, Biology, or any related Science Courses
-2-3 years experience in GMP
-2-3 years experience facilitating HACCP accreditation
-At least 2 years experience in Lab Analysis, In line production/operation
-Regulatory experience is an advantage
- Experience in food manufacturing industry: condiments & sauces is an advantage
- Well versed in quality control inspection for incoming raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
- Well versed in food safety protocols implementation and standards
- With experience in R&D processes.
-Willing to be assigned in Dalandanan, Valenzuela
