HYDRO TECHNICAL AIDE
 
WORK LOCATION: BOHOL
 
Key Responsibilities:
Field Data Collection: Assist in the setup and operation of geo-resistivity equipment (e.g., electrical resistivity tomography, induced polarization surveys, etc.) during field investigations. Ensure the accurate collection of data during geophysical surveys in various environmental conditions.
Equipment Support: Help prepare and maintain geo-resistivity equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated, functional, and ready for deployment. Troubleshoot minor technical issues and coordinate with senior technicians for more complex repairs.
Data Processing & Analysis: Assist with the preliminary processing and interpretation of geo-resistivity data. Use software tools to analyze results, generate reports, and support the team with data visualization tasks.
Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentation materials. Document field activities, observations, and results clearly and accurately for internal use or client deliverables.
Field Support & Logistics: Provide logistical and technical support during field campaigns, including travel arrangements, equipment transportation, and on-site coordination.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure all field activities comply with safety guidelines and environmental regulations. Assist in maintaining safe working conditions at all field sites.
Collaboration: Work closely with geophysicists, engineers, and field technicians to support a wide range of geophysical surveys. Contribute to the overall success of the projects by helping troubleshoot technical challenges as they arise.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of any course. Related field or Engineering is preferred but not required.
Computer Literate especially in MS Excel
Working Conditions:
This position involves a mix of office-based and fieldwork duties.
Fieldwork may require travel to remote locations, sometimes requiring overnight stays or extended periods away from the home office.
Ability to work in challenging environments, including rough terrain and potentially adverse weather conditions.
Flexible working hours, with occasional overtime during peak survey periods.
