Job Description
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and project specifications to understand fabrication requirements
Select appropriate materials, tools and equipment necessary for fabrication
Cut, shape and weld metal components using various fabrication techniques such as cutting torches, plasma cutters and welding machines
Utilize fabrication machinery and tools, including shears, brakes, rollers and drills to shape and form steel materials
Ensure accurancy and precision during the fabrication process to meeto project specifications and quality standrads
Conduct quality control checks to verify that fabricated components meed required tolerances and specifications
Collaborate with the production team to ensure the timely completion of assigned project
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and consumables essential for fabrication
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment
Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and team members regarding project, progress, challenges and potential solutions
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
