Job Description
Responsible for planning and directing food preparation in a kitchen.
This will involve a large degree of supervising other kitchen staff, as well as keeping an eye out for problems that arise in the kitchen and seizing control of a situation at a moment's notice.
Effectively discipline underperforming staff members, as well as provide incentives for staff members to go above and beyond the expectations of their particular roles.
Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality. Responds to and handles guest problems and complaints.
Able to make recommendations to the Management regarding succession planning. To be aware of all financial budgets and goals.
To ensure that guests are always receiving an exceptional dining experience representing true value for money
Ensure that all recipes and product yields are accurately costed and reviewed regularly. 7. Ensure that all food items are prepared as per standard recipe cards whilst maintaining portion control and minimizing waste
Ensure that food stock levels within the culinary department areas are of sufficient quantity and quality in relevance to the Restaurant capacity. . Keeping the kitchen environment safe and hygienic
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or similar fields.
