DRAY SPECIALIST
The primary role of the Dray Specialist is to track and trace loads moving over the road from the time they are dispatched until the time they are delivered, ensuring that customers' needs are met or exceeded. Job duties may be added or adjusted based on operational and business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor all loads in route by contacting carriers/checking carrier websites to ensure timely delivery of loads
Advise Operations and Customer Service teams of any issues or delays with the loads
Respond to customer inquiries on load status
Assist in coordinating delivery arrangements with carriers and consignees
Maintain positive relationships with customers and carriers
Monitor hot or problematic shipments until unloaded
Communicate with Customer Service throughout the duration of the load advising of status
Produce tracing reports detailing movement activity and estimated time of arrival for key account shipments. Send to customers as requested
Add any additional charges in the system for accurate billing and payables
Enter POD and attach POD document in the SAP TM
Other duties and assignments as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor/associate degree in business, Logistics or International Trade is an asset
Minimum 1 year customer service experience.
Experience in Transportation and Ocean freight is an asset
Good knowledge of North American geography
