We're looking for a cook with responsibilities in Research and Development (R&D), costing, and marketing plays a crucial role in creating innovative dishes while ensuring the profitability and marketability of food products. This role combines culinary expertise with analytical and creative skills to develop new menu items, manage food costs, and participate in marketing efforts to promote the restaurant or food service business.
 
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to cafe shop standards.
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality, considering taste, texture, and appearance.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
Develop and test new recipes, keeping in mind current culinary trends, customer preferences, and nutritional considerations.
Innovate with new ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles.
Conduct taste tests, gather feedback, and refine dishes for the menu.
Collaborate with the team to create seasonal or special menus.
Calculate and monitor the food costs for all recipes, ensuring they align with the coffee shop's budget goals
Collaborate with suppliers to source quality ingredients at the best prices.
Maintain updated cost sheets for all menu items, adjusting ingredients or portions to meet cost margins.
Assist in inventory management to minimize waste and overstocking.
Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality standards in terms of presentation, portion size, and taste.
Work with suppliers to ensure the quality of ingredients is maintained
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new dishes or seasonal offerings through various channels (social media, in-house promotions, etc.).
Provide input on visual content, such as photos or videos of new dishes, to be used in marketing campaigns.
Stay updated on food trends and customer preferences to create dishes that will attract and retain customers.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Coordinate with the Accounting for request and approval of the request.
Coordinate with the COO for the new menu and order
Job Specifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a cook, preferably in a restaurant or hotel.
Possesses experience in the field of cooking.
Holds at least Bachelor's degree.
Experience in R&D or menu development is a plus.
Excellent culinary creativity with the ability to develop and test new dishes.
Competitive and persuasive; and strong negotiation skills
Strong understanding of ingredient sourcing and inventory management.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and handle physical work in a hot kitchen environment.

Trustworthy and highly dependable and independent
Willing to assigned in Cebu City (Sanciangco Colon)
