Job Description
Blacksmiths work with and repair metal
Primarily using iron and steel, blacksmiths use red-hot fire to heat metal into a malleable form where they can hammer, bend, cut, form, and create a variety of goods.
They create or repair goods such as tongs, tools, hooks, machine parts and agricultural implements.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Additional Information:
Devises jigs fixtures, forges special hand tools, like hammers or chisels, and sets up form blocks.
