BARISTA TRAINER
 
Job Overview:
 
We are searching for engaging and courteous Baristas who are passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. The Barista will greet customers, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. The Barista will also maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area, update displays, and continuously expand knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.
To succeed as a barista, one should be committed to providing customers with excellent service and should be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.
Scope of Work/Deliverables:
Lead training classes for clients, delivering engaging and informative presentations on coffee theory, brewing methods, and industry best practices.
Conduct practical demonstrations on how to use coffee machines and equipment effectively, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices.
Demonstrate coffee brewing techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art, to students. Provide hands-on training and guidance to ensure they understand and master the skills required to make high-quality coffee.
Collaborate with the training team to develop customized training programs tailored to the needs and goals of clients. Design curriculum outlines, lesson plans, and training materials covering topics such as coffee brewing techniques, equipment operation, business management, and customer service
Provide hands-on training and coaching to students, guiding them through the process of coffee preparation, extraction, milk steaming, and latte art. Offer personalized feedback and tips to help students improve their skills and confidence.
Offer expert advice and guidance to clients on various aspects of coffee business management, including menu development, equipment selection, inventory management, and cost control. Assist clients in developing business plans and strategies to achieve their goals.
Maintain regular communication with students who have registered for training classes, providing ongoing support, and answering any questions or concerns they may have.
Follow up with students after training to assess their progress and offer additional assistance as needed.
Build strong relationships with clients and cultivate a network of satisfied customers who may refer others to our training services. Gather feedback from clients to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in the coffee industry through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
Share knowledge and insights with the training team to enhance the quality of training programs.
Develop strategies to promote cafe products and increase sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and upselling techniques.
Educate baristas on product features, benefits, and selling points to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, performance assessments, and training materials. Prepare reports on training progress and outcomes for management review.
Stay updated on industry trends, coffee brewing techniques, and new equipment to ensure training programs remain current and relevant. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your own skills as a barista trainer.
Job Specifications:
A graduate of 4 year course or any related course
Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service for at least 1 year.
Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation especially coffee
Exceptional listening and communication skills.
Have a self confidence in demonstration teaching
Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
A polite, engaging personality.
Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
