Key Responsibilities:
Prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, and other baked goods from scratch following Dean & Deluca's recipes and quality standards.
Oversee and manage baking processes, including mixing, kneading, and baking, to ensure consistency and freshness.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the bakery section.
Collaborate with the bakery team to innovate and introduce new baked goods.
Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and coordinate with suppliers as needed.
Supervise and mentor junior bakers and assist in their skill development.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Baker, preferably with 3+ years in a professional setting.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, bread-making processes, and ingredient handling.
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, and dough proofers.
Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ensure high standards of quality and cleanliness.
Passion for baking and willingness to contribute ideas for menu development.
