WAIT STAFF
 
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding a table.
Present menus, provide detailed information on the restaurant's offerings, and answer any questions about food, beverages, or dietary concerns.
Offer recommendations, upsell food and beverage items, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Accurately take food and drink orders using the establishment's ordering system (manual or digital).
Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.
Check back with guests to ensure they are enjoying their meal and address any issues promptly.
Clear and reset tables after guests have finished dining.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout the service.
Provide the check to guests and process payments accurately using the restaurant's payment system.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Address any customer concerns or complaints with professionalism, and seek the assistance of the manager if needed to resolve issues.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring clean cutlery, glassware, and dishes are used.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as wait staff or in customer service (preferred but not required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team and handle a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with restaurant POS systems (training can be provided).
Basic math skills for handling payments and tips.
Food handler's certification may be required depending on local laws.
