The Retail and Trade Marketing Officer utilizes insights-driven marketing and merchandising initiatives to satisfy the needs of targeted customers, enhance the buying experience, and improve business results. This position develops and implements branch retail merchandising, branding guidelines, and other design- related projects. This position is also responsible for the overall strategic planning, organizing, leading, and controlling of marketing programs at a regional level and ensures that such programs contribute to the achievement of the set sales/growth targets.
 
Visual Merchandising
· Visual merchandising design development as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
 
· Manages the standardization and consistency in the following specific areas:
a. Visual Identity Guidelines
b. Branch materials and merchandising (but not limited to)
· Conducts follow-through collaborations with Design Agencies, to ensure conformance to retail improvements, guidelines, and policies.
· Supports the development of branch design and concepts through coordination with concerned individuals, units, or divisions and monitoring of project progress.
 
Modern Trade Marketing Management
· Provides the overall direction/thrust on the implementation of local programs/campaigns. To include CSR, sponsorships, and events.
· Ensures that marketing programs and activities planned are implemented by branches and comply with Marketing directions and policies.
· Monitors/evaluates the implementation of the national activities and local marketing activities based on the set guidelines and proposed improvements.
· Monitors and evaluates competitive efforts and impact on the brand and recommends appropriate action to counteract as needed.
· Execution of new branch opening sales and marketing
· Oversees proper implementation of CSR, sponsorships, and events with various agencies and organizations, as necessary (e.g. DTI, DSWD, DPWH, etc).
 
Financial Management (Financial Budgeting and Control)
· Manages and properly allocates/disburses the approved A&P budget and sees to it that programs and activities are implemented within the agreed schedule and budget.
· Manages and properly uses the approved Opex/Capex budget.
 
Project Coordination
· Sets up project team meetings
· Coordinates with supplier for merchandise requirements and completion of delivery
· Handles inquiries / additional merchandising needs of stores.
 
Supplier Management
· Creates comparative analysis among possible suppliers and recommends approval of the manager.
· Helps in coordination with suppliers to ensure delivery of agreed timelines.
