SR. HARDWARE DESIGN ENGINEER
 
Job Summary:
 
Lead the circuit design, simulation and analysis, selection of components, DVT plan and execution, PCBA prototyping and troubleshooting.
 
A. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the circuit designs for PCBA to be used on BTC Power chargers/systems.
Create the schematics diagram and handover to PCB Design Engineers.
Select parts/components needed for PCBA.
Perform design analysis like WCA, DFMEA, RPA and thermal analysis to ensure the robustness of the design.
Perform circuit simulations using the company approved tool.
Advice correct PCB placement or routing of components.
Defines the BTC Power requirements or specifications for third party development of PCBA.
Lead the PCBA DVT activities.
Lead the prototyping, power up and troubleshooting of PCBA.
Collab with FW and system engineers for every new product.
Collab with HQ design engineers.
Support the technical needs of PCBA for products already in mass production.
Mentor and or collab with the engineers in the department.
Create related documentation.
Ensure on time delivery of the project/task.
In general, shows maturity in supporting all the needs of the product related to PCBA.
B. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
 
Educational Background:
Preferably an Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communications Engineering graduate.
Experience:
Must be experienced in doing designs related to hardware or PCBA for at least 7 years.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:
Must have in-depth engineering knowledge.
Expert in electrical and electronic components functionalities and operations.
Expert in circuit design, simulations and analysis related.
Expert in reading schematics diagram.
Above average knowledge of PCB layout and placement.
Expert in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
Expert in using engineering tools like DMM, LCR, oscilloscopes, etc.
Able to use computer aided simulation, circuit, and PCB design tools like Altium Designer.
Having high analytical and technical skills.
Able to communicate effectively.
Hardworking, open-minded, flexible and can work under pressure.
Should be flexible to work as standalone or as a team.
Able to lead engineers or a team and to demonstrate technical expertise
