SALES ASSOCIATE
 
Job Responsibilities:
Assist customers in selecting and purchasing scuba diving equipment, both in-store and online.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via email, text, or chat, providing accurate product information and addressing any concerns.
Prepare billing statements for customer purchases, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing display area, ensuring products are well-presented and easily accessible to customers.
Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products based on their preferences and requirements.
Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and new arrivals to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock replenishment and conducting regular stock checks.
Contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store, fostering repeat business and customer loyalty.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and customer service standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail sales, preferably in the scuba diving or outdoor sports industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Knowledge of scuba diving equipment and terminology is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt to product knowledge.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in preparing billing statements and maintaining a tidy store environment.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is an advantage.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy scuba diving equipment as needed.
