Job Description
Estimating weight and size: Determine the size and weight of the objects to be moved and select the appropriate equipment, Erecting structures: Assemble temporary structures like scaffolding, or erect structural steel on buildings
Lifting and positioning: Attach sling equipment to loads, and lift, position, and bolt components, Operating equipment: Install, operate, and maintain cables, ropes, pulleys, and winches
Inspecting: Conduct safety inspections on equipment and gear, and ensure work meets standards, Communicating: Signal workers operating cranes or other equipment, and communicate effectively with crane operators
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Male applicants are preferred for this role.
A rigger's job is to move and position heavy equipment and materials using rigging gear, such as pulleys, cranes, and winches. Riggers work in a variety of industries, including construction, manufacturing, mining, and shipbuilding
