Maintains regular attendance on the assigned jobsite per specifications described in the contract documents
Ensures Design and Construction Submittals are reviewed and approved as required by contract Certifies for compliance prior to allowing material on site and any segment of work to proceed
Conducts daily site observations and inspects all work/re-work and materials, using certified QC Specialists ( as applicable) to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
Notifies the superintendent of any non-conforming segment of work. Oversees the removal and inspects the replacement of any defective work.
Responsible for managing submittal coordination and process with assistance from other project team members
Coordinates and ensures that all on site and off site testing and inspections are performed in accordance with the contract documents, maintaining all appropriate logs and reports pursuant to the contract documents.
Maintains hard copy of submittals and product samples on site, updates and maintains the submittals register, hardcopy/e-fies, and processing/tracking of submittals.
Manages, schedules, and coordinates all QC Specialists and test and inspection engineers and tecnicians
Responsible for the development, completion, and maintenance of all QC related documentation, ensuring the currency and accuracy of all files and documentation for compliance to contract requirements and audit purposes
Exercises judgment and the authority to remove any individual from site who fails to perform work in a skillful, safe and workmanlike manner, or whose work does not comply with the contract plans specifications
Previews and approves monthly contractor billing, and provides an updated submittal register to the PM to assist with monthly billing requirements and performs other duties as assigned and agreed upon with supervisor
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam) holder.
Quality discipline or related field ( or equivalent work experience) and typically 10+ years of related work experience in the field of Quality, including 5+ years experience in management capacity.
Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 or equal) or ASQ certification (CMQ/OE, CQA or CQE)
Minimum of 5 years construction experience and a minimum of 1 year experience as a CQC System Manager on construction project
Any related experience in work involving the construction of military projects, such as providing a range of services to private organizations, armed escorts, and other government agencies, and having other related training is preferred
