MULTIMEDIA ARTIST
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Design/Multimedia/Advertising or related field is required
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Proficiency with video and photo editing software such as Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and InDesign
Relative fitness and stamina to work long hours
Proficiency with camera equipment
Manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina
Ability to work under deadline pressure
Ability to capture snippets of film and be able to edit it into a cohesive story
Must know computerized editing software and equipment
Understanding of post-production techniques
Can work in a variety of digital venues with software to edit and finish film work
Responsibilities
Ensure that equipment needed for a shoot is present and working
Brainstorm concepts with the art director
Comply with brand standards set by the creative director
Plan the shoot with the creative team and the art director
Schedule video and photo shoot with the marketing team according to launch product
Edit footage in post-production
Select music to go with the video and edit accordingly
Cleaning and disassembling hardware and other filming equipment whenever necessary
Secure cameras, audio recorders, lighting, microphones, props, and storage discs after every shoot
Preparing background film or "b" rolls if instructed by creative and art directors
Identify problems with the equipment and suggest repair solutions to department lead
Inserting closed captioning, graphics, or other on-screen text into a video when needed
Adding computer graphics and special effects to a video when needed
