JUNIOR TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDENT
A. QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering.
Has at least 2-4 years of experience and proven technical ability, as Junior Technical Superintendent or similar position.
Has passion for excellence and working in a fast-paced technical operations environment.
Background as Marine Engineer, preferred sailed as 2E, 3E or 4E onboard International Vessel.
Has good interpersonal and communication skills, and sharp analytical skills.
Computer proficient
FULL TIME NEEDED.
B. RESPONSIBILITIES
In charge for undertaking fieldwork and onboard vessel inspections for the assigned vessels.
Responsible for ensuring efficient operation of assigned vessels by monitoring their maintenance, movement, condition, and operation.
Responsible for reviewing the records of vessel certificates and other equipment certificates for monitoring assign vessel.
Responsible for monitoring vessel purchases and keeping track progress of items for onboard delivery, especially spares which need urgent attention.
Responsible for monitoring the day to day and emergency repairs requirement onboard assigned vessels.
Responsible for arranging servicing companies' requirement for vessel's normal/emergency repairs.
Responsible for overseeing the needed works related to Dry Dockings, inspections and producing reports.
Supervise to assigned vessels at ports of call and sail on them on a regular basis to ensure technical condition, performance, and maintenance as needed.
Support any technical problems onboard, assess and contact maker if needed.
C. OTHER DUTIES
Analyze and optimize the vessel's performance in close collaboration with the crew on board.
Be a good team player in managing vessels throughout the fleet without hesitation to give input or ideas.
Be able to help in the development and formulation of repair specifications in accordance with applicable regulations.
Coordinate training and provide advice to shipboard personnel as necessary.
Ensure the smooth and effective implementation of our Integrated Management System policies on-board and perform regular vessel audits as needed.
Ensure that international and national rules and regulations, as well as industry standards, are followed.
Issue attendance reports, including comments for vessel condition and crew performance.
Liaise with and assist the Purchasing Officer in processing all spare parts requisitions.
Provide exceptional technical support, advice and assistance on technical matters pertaining to the operation of assigned vessels.
Any other task(s) as may be assigned by the President or the General Manager
