Job Description
Assist Manager in planning and implementing procurement strategies and activities consistent with requirements of the company.
Follow and implement procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines of the company
Monitor stock levels and prepare orders as needed.
Maintain and update records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
Review and compare prices and approve products to be purchased.
Liaise with freight forwarders for shipping cargo on a timely manner.
Review purchase requests from other Departments and facilitate purchase of products.
Manage necessary documentation for shipping from the point of order until the goods are in warehouse.
Pass supplier Invoices to Accounts Department with no delays for timely payments for suppliers.
Adhere to relevant Government health and safety laws. Should be aware of any changes in the regulations, always be up to date to make sure all operations are according to the regulations.
Monitor on products brought on special orders by Sales Department, Store and Bakery, ensuring the items are sold.
Tally and inspect quality of fresh products and report any faulty or inconsistencies immediately to supplier
Supervise all shipment clearance to make sure things are running smoothly and calls from Clearance staffs should be answered.
Coordinate with warehouse staffs to ensure all products are received in good condition and proper storage.
Check stock levels physically on a random basis, even though the stock system software is implemented
Follow up and provide accurate shipment details to Clearance team in order for them to attend accordingly.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be a Bachelor's / College Degree holder in Business Studies/Administration/Management or similar fields.
Female applicants are preferred for this role.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
