INFRASTRUCTURE SYSTEM ENGINEER II (LINUX SYSTEM ADMIN)
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience as a Linux Administrator, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.
Strong proficiency in Linux server administration and shell scripting.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Solid knowledge of security best practices and system hardening.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux Professional Institute Certification) are a plus.
Willing to work on a night shift schedule

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain our Linux server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers, including CentOS, Red Hat, and Ubuntu.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement Linux-based solutions to meet business needs.
Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades in a timely manner.
Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and implement proactive measures to optimize performance and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including server failures and application errors.
Implement and maintain security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in Linux administration.
