The Civil Engineer at Taft Properties is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the construction of civil engineering projects. This role ensures all civil engineering aspects meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. The Civil Engineer reports to the Design and Innovation Assistant Manager.
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Design civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and infrastructure.
Develop detailed civil engineering plans and specifications.
Oversee the construction of civil engineering projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Conduct site visits and inspections to verify proper construction and functionality.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all parties.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Identify and resolve any civil engineering issues that arise during the project.
Prepare and present reports on the status of civil engineering projects to the Project Manager.
Monitor and analyze project performance and take corrective actions as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering for construction projects.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in civil engineering design software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to identify and resolve civil engineering issues efficiently and effectively.
Strong decision-making skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
